Forms and Petitions

The College of Health is able to provide limited funding opportunities to current students to present conference research, conduct research, and, at times, conference attendance.

Before you apply, be sure to have information about your travel plans handy. You will also be asked to provide a Plan of Work indicating how you plan to spend your time during your research travel. You will need to utilize your ISU.edu email to access the form.

The College of Health meets to review applications once a month at the beginning of each month, and awards will be issued by the 10th of each month. If your application for support is not received before the 1st of the month, it will be evaluated at the beginning of the following month.

Students with a current minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible.

Maximum Credit Hours Policy and Process
Undergraduate students are permitted to enroll in a maximum of 18 credits per semester. Requests to exceed this limit require approval from the student’s academic dean.
Before requesting an overload, students must first meet with their academic advisor to discuss the implications of taking additional credits. Advisors will review the student’s academic standing, workload, and overall readiness to ensure that an increased course load will not negatively impact academic success.
If the advisor supports the request, they will submit the overload request directly to the Management Assistant in the student’s college, who will coordinate with the Dean for review and final approval.
Summary of Steps:
  1. Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your request.
  2. If approved, your advisor will forward the request to your college’s Management Assistant.
  3. The Dean will review the request and notify you of the decision.
This process helps ensure that students make informed decisions about their academic load and that requests are properly tracked and processed through the appropriate college channels.
If you are unsure which college your program belongs to, please check the Colleges and Departments page or contact the Registrar’s Office for assistance.
